New Patient Services
We take your oral health very seriously. To fully optimize your care, we like to conduct a thorough new patient visit. Our staff will be happy to assist you with any insurance questions regarding your coverage. If you have a specific dental need we can also take care of that during this visit.Our New Patient visit includes the following:
- An in-depth examination and visit with Dr. Splane; ask any questions and voice any concerns
- An oral cancer screening
- Periodontal exam (probing for any signs of gum disease)
- Any needed x-rays, dental impressions, or measurements
- A tour of our facilities
- A no fee follow-up consultation with Dr. Splane after he has reviewed your exam results
Preventive Care Services
Preventive care is the foundation of good oral health, which is an integral part of your overall health. TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Disorder
When this joint in your jaw is not functioning properly, you will know it. Problems associated with TMJ Disorder include frequent headaches and/or neck pain. Physical signs may include chipped or worn teeth and excessive sensitivity of the teeth to hot or cold beverages or foods.Dr. Splane has extensive experience in this area and receives many referrals from other physicians. After a thorough examination and diagnosis, Dr. Splane will prescribe the appropriate therapy to resolve your symptoms and stop the destruction of your teeth and joint.
Gum Disease
75% of adult tooth loss is caused by gum disease. This disease is caused by the colonization of bacteria, which in turn causes infection. Often there are no noticeable symptoms until it has reached an advanced stage. Bleeding is typically a sign of infection and it’s important to know that healthy gums do not usually bleed with proper brushing and flossing.
Our staff is highly skilled and highly trained in the treatment of gum disease.We offer the following services:
